Some of the well-known data minds who have directly or indirectly helped in revolutionising the field of Data Science.
#1. Elon Musk:
Elon Reeve Musk, a name with many capabilities. One of the most talked about persons of present time, Elon Musk is the founder, CEO, and CTO of SpaceX; a co-founder, a Series A investor, CEO, and product architect of Tesla Inc.; co-chairman of OpenAI; founder and CEO of Neuralink. With Neuralink Elon plans to merge human mind with AI.

A name known to all, Mark Zuckerberg is a co-founder of Facebook, and currently operates as its chairman and chief executive officer. Generating more than millions of gigabytes of data, Facebook also houses the world’s largest Hadoop cluster. Mark also owns Oclus, which has been using data science for virtual reality.

Presently the director of AI Research wing at Facebook, Yann Lecun is well known for his work on optical character recognition and computer vision using CNN. He is also the co-developer of Lush programming language and founding father of convolution nets.

The co-founder of the term “Data Science”, DhanurjayPatil is a former Chief Data Scientist at White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Having several Patents in his name, DJ Patil has a PhD from university of Maryland and College Park with area of research being applied nonlinear dynamics, chaos theory and complexity.

A PhD from the University of Texas Austin in computer science, Rajeev Rastogi is the Director of Machine Learning at Amazon. He has been named a Bell Labs Fellow in 2003 and an ACM Fellow in 2012 for his contributions to Lucent’s networking products and data analysis and management respectively.
