With pre-meeting settings, one can secure the Zoom meetings before the meetings start. Here are some of the best features of pre-meeting settings: 

  • Passcodes: 

Passcodes offer a certain level of security. Admin can set a passcode for a Zoom webinar or a Zoom meeting.

  • Waiting room:

Admin can activate the waiting rooms for the participants. These waiting rooms can be for all the participants or just for the guests who are not on the contacts list. 

  • Join by domain: 

Participants must sign into a Zoom account to enter a Zoom meeting. Admin should make sure that the registered email address is on an authorized list. 

  • In-meeting settings 

You would not want a running meeting to be disturbed. Therefore, Zoom has provided the users with in-meeting settings to secure and without disturbance meeting. 

  • Lock the meeting:

  • Mute participants:

  • Disabling the private chat:

Zoom has the feature of in-meeting chat, which allows participants to chat with each other. The conversation can be private with everyone at the meeting. However, the host has the option to disable the private chat to avoid the distraction.

  • Cloud recording access: 

The host or admin can only access all the stored recordings. However, the host can authorize someone to access the recordings.
