In Sanskrit kapalbhati means shinning of the forehead, when you start doing this pranayama regularly it giving natural shining to your face and also provides radiance on inside our body. In this method of kapalbhati pranayama inhalation is done as usual while exhalation is done quickly. This way of exhale and inhale is involved in this continuously.

Steps involved in kapalbhati

While practising kapalbhati the face must be kept relaxed. The back region should be kept straight; you need to first sit comfortably by keeping your legs crossed. Each hand must be rested on knees. Inhalation must be done through nose, while inhale you need to expand the abdomen well and then exhalation to be done by contracting the abdomen region muscles. In this process diaphragm gets contracted and the air is forcedly pushed out of lungs. Once the exhalation of air is done then immediately inhalation is must. Here exhalation only to be done faster, but inhalation of oxygenated air can be done slowly in a relaxed way. By doing so our lungs gets expanded and also it will be filled with oxygen.

15 repetition of this exhale and inhale to be done, it is a cyclic process. But remember exhale must be done faster and inhale on slowly. After completing fifteen round of this pranayama, you can inhale and exhale deeply. This is the method of practising kapalpathi pranayama.

By doing this yogic method yogis lived for three hundred years, experts do this yoga for 120 times in just one minute. But if you’re pregnant then you can do only for few counts.
