When Winston Churchill gave independence to India, his last words
“Power will go into the hands of the Rascals, Rogues, Freebooters, all Indian leaders will be of low calibre and men of straw. They will have sweet tongues and silly hearts. They will fight amongst themselves for power and India will be lost in the political squabbles. A day would come when even air and water would be taxed In India”.
Even Winston Churchill would not have thought his curse would turn true. We have the government, functioning from the past 71 years but still, Indian citizens have to come to the road and raise there hands for their rights, needs, and even survival.
Every part of India has a different way and different motive to protest. But ultimately there is a strong feeling in every Indians heart that the government will lend its ears only when a huge crowd comes to the road and shout. Do you think the problem is only with the government? If the government is changed the problem will come to an end? No, not at all.
The problem is the people, their mindset, and their innocence. The dangerous of all three is the innocence. Yes, the innocence and the ignorance is the weapon of the politicians to manipulate the people and their thoughts. Whatever is telecaster in the news or posted on social media, it will be obviously true. What made you think like that?
We live in a country, where the north part is struggling to get justice for a fictional queen, beef, mystery in the demises of an actress, and sudden injustice to their caste and religion. Whereas the south part is struggling and shouting for its survival, land, pollution, education, natural disasters and to the atrocities of the corporate.
Now just think for a minute and choose the priority. This is not the case only with south India. Entire India has this trouble. But what made you ignore this and fight for something else.
People have already come to a mindset that money speaks everywhere. We have seen deadly criminals walking out of the court on being declared as innocents. The entire nation knows the truth but why are we not raising our voice to it.
13 individuals in Tamil Nadu including a 10th standard girl was shot to death for protesting against the Sterlite company which created a nuisance to the public and many suffered from cancer because of the toxic exhaust of the company.
We all shed tears while reading about Syria’s boom blast. Now, tell the difference between Syria and India?
Killing its own citizen for doing a protest against a corporate company is happening here, in your own country. Don’t worry, when your turn comes the number may get increased from 13 to 1300. The most pathetic thing of all is the Prime Minister of India has not opened his mouth and spoke a word about it.
Meanwhile, national medias are tearing the real face of India. When the survival is a question mark in the country. Do still think that Bollywood, cricket, caste, and religion would save you from this?
