Girls Buzz: Digital Platform Empowers Women Making them Self Reliant

Chhavi Sharma grew up seeing the multi talented side of the elder females of the house  managing everything from house to thwhe job. With a degree in architecture and management from Symbiosis, she realized that this is not her calling and its time to create platform where all such multi tasking women can come together and share their stories.

Her father C.K. Sharma who is a global visionary since last four decades and behind the successful Gilda group joined hands and the family discussion ventured into doing something special for Indian women and thus the marvelous idea Girls buzz was born with the aim of creating a comfortable space for women by women. Her sister Ruchi Sharma who is now in charge of the creative content space also joined in making it a family’s dream project.

“I was always that talkative girl of the house who was fascinated by the multiplicity of things my mother and nani can do at a time. They were working women with dozens of responsibilities still they had time for me and answers for my never ending questions! But they had no common space to share their experiences and knowledge and connect with the other beautiful multi taskers out there around them.”

Women empowerment is an often discussed term, but hardly a few people actually work on how to empower women. With this family comprising mainly of women knew that everywhere women have to share space and there should be an exclusive platform dedicated to them where they can talk freely about their dreams, jobs, hobbies and so on.

A place where they can connect with other women from all over the globe with no language or regional barrier. This is the reason we are making our platform multi-lingual. Apart from the blogs and articles by women there are regular live sessions by the successful women from various fields as well as the upcoming women entrepreneurs.

The Vision
The vision was to build a digital platform aimed at empowering women by making them self reliant. The first step in this direction was keeping women up-to-date about anything and everything related to them. We are proud to have more than 200,000 hits every month now with women enjoying and keeping up with all the latest trends, information and news.

Our forum is built to have a place where women can guide each other. Ladies can not only absorb the information on the website but also put in their own thoughts, anything they want to share about their experiences etc. And of course we hope to build in a career section soon where we will help women find jobs, get adequate training etc.

Story behind the name
There is a story behind the name too! Starting with a name Glo.community, the name failed to signify what it was all about. So the obvious thought was to have a domain that symbolized women. But then why can’t it be girls? It is a world renowned fact that women never age so the name girls buzz was perfect for what we intended. All about a community exclusively for girls and women!
