Repos Energy is changing the game of energy distribution in India through a door-to-door diesel delivery. Starting with a team of two in Pune, to a team of over 150 and presence in 150+ cities in 4 years, this young couple is now generating fuel entrepreneurs of India, and building the biggest IoT factory (Tesla of India) in Maharashtra

From a homegrown petrol pump business in Maharashtra to forming a dynamic energy grid. This young couple is setting up a whole ecosystem to provide cost-effective solutions for India’s ever-growing need for energy logistics – Starting with diesel, through mobile petrol pumps (A stationary petrol pump being replicated on wheels).

About four years ago, Chetan Walunj and his wife Aditi Bhosale Walunj set on a mission to take their family business of a petrol pump, to a newer dimension. Fueling large scale industries was something that they were catering to on an everyday basis. After noticing a massive amount of fuel loss due to theft and spillage – the duo decided it was time this issue was addressed.

They saw a great opportunity to overcome these challenges by offering a door-to-door service of diesel to not just their existing end users – but to the entire nation. Repos Energy – Fuelled by Yes was born out of the couple’s sheer passion and relentless hard work. And today, they can be easily termed as the leaders in the doorstep diesel delivery space.

The company is backed by Ratan Tata, and has been achieving some major milestones ever since its inception. Looking at the growing demand for diesel in the country, they set a massive target of manufacturing 3,200 mobile petrol pumps this financial year.

Till now, they have been completely self-funded. During the lockdown and crisis, they emerged stronger and helped to fuel hospitals, agricultural sector, and residential societies whenever they fell short of diesel.

In July this year, the Oil Marketing Companies announced an ‘Expression of Interest’ which basically said that any startup can now become a fuel entrepreneur (FuelEnts). This came as a huge opportunity and now Repos is generating these fuel entrepreneurs by giving them the complete ecosystem in terms of know-how, infrastructure, mobile petrol pumps so that India can emerge as a strong economic base for startups and entrepreneurship.

The company is ready to raise its Series Funding and have announced that they want to raise $30 Million in order to expand its entire infrastructure and facility. They are also building Asia’s largest IoT factory in Chakan near Pune – one of the automobile and industrial hubs of Maharashtra. They are the only PESO-approved fabricators in the country who are manufacturing futuristic to mobile petrol pumps.

Their current revenue model is divided into Repos Mobile Petrol Pumps,  Door-to-door Diesel Delivery Service, IoT & Data Services, and now the FuelEnts. Today, Repos is present in over 150 cities of India through over 500 Mobile Petrol Pumps already reaching the far corners of the nation. They are serving various industries including the agricultural sector, and even the Indian Army.
