The Best Ski Resorts in and around Manchester, New Hampshire

When we hear New Hampshire, skiing is probably not the first thing that comes to mind. Yet, to our surprise, The Granite State has much to offer in terms of tourism and ski resorts.

New Hampshire’s motto “Live Free or Die” is better reflected on its outdoor recreational front. Every year, plenty of New Englanders visit New Hampshire to ride down the many slopes of the city.

Manchester may be a small city but there are numerous ski resorts around it that make it a great city for vacation.

Here are the best ski resorts in and around Manchester for you to enjoy your next ski outing.

McIntyre Ski Area

Not New Hampshire’s biggest ski resort but definitely the one with the most heart. McIntyre is also the closest ski resort to Manchester city and has been serving locals with access to slopes and outdoor winter recreational activities.

The ski resort has been standing since 1971 and six years after its establishment, it introduced a ski school to teach children and adults the art of skiing.

The resort has nine runs and four chairlifts, which marks its modesty. Besides skiing, McIntyre also has ten tubing lanes stretching over 420 feet in length.

Pats Peak Ski Area

Located at half an hour of distance from downtown Manchester, Pats Peak Ski Area is the best ski resort to hang out with your family.
