Ransomware Called “WannaCry” Is Shutting Down Computers All Over The World. It Has Already Infected More Than 230,000 Windows PCs In 150 Countries

This is to inform you all that a highly virulent Ransomware called “WannaCry” is shutting down computers all over the world. According to reports, it has already infected more than 230,000 Windows PCs in 150 countries.

In order to prevent the same from affecting your organization,  or any personal computer you can take very simple step;

• We request you all that, ‘Please restart your system immediately & whenever you will get notification to restart’. Changes will implement automatically after restarting your system.

• Always keep your security software up-to-date to protect yourself against them

• Keep your OS and other software updated.

• Email is one of the main infection methods. Be wary of unexpected emails, especially if they contain links and/or attachments

• Be extremely wary of any Microsoft Office email attachment that advises you to enable macros to view its content. Unless you are absolutely sure that this is a genuine email from a trusted source, do not enable macros; immediately delete the email instead
